Emma is named after the Museum of Science, which is located in both Boston and Cambridge on a dam across the Charles River. Originally established in 1830, the museum has been located at its current location since 1951. 1.6 million people visit the Museum of Science annually to enjoy over 400 interactive exhibits as well as the Mugar Omni Theater and the Charles Hayden Planetarium. Emma was christened at the Museum of Science in 2003 by Museum of Science employee, Barbara Wroblewski. Barbara won a contest to name a Duck when we opened a Duck Stop at the Museum of Science in 2003
