Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosis, troubleshoot, and make necessary repairs. Included but not limited to diesel engines, chassis, axels, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Preform scheduled preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.
  • Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and components correctly. Included but not limited to differentials, transfer cases, and axles.
  • Conduct overhauls as needed during off-season (December – March).
  • Preform service calls for emergency breakdowns during peak season (April – November).
  • Work with Drivers on vehicle concerns and outstanding maintenance issues.
  • Mentor and/or train Apprentices and Entry Level Mechanics

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years hands on experience (diesel engines/heavy equipment preferred)
  • Valid License Required
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • The ability to handle complex repairs
  • Ability and comfortability to work on 6ft/8ft ladders.
  • The drive and willingness to learn and grow within Boston Duck Tours
  • CDL preferred, not required. (Additional 1.50 p/hr.)
  • Welding knowledge preferred, not required (Additional 1.50 p/hr.)

Due to the safety sensitive nature of this position, employees must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements (including pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing)

Pay:

  • $33 – $40 per hour
  • $4,000 Sign-On Bonus

  • Two Shifts Available
    • Sunday – Wednesday Noon – 10:00pm
    • Wednesday – Saturday: Noon – 10:00pm

Your primary responsibility is safely driving our Guests aboard a replica WWII amphibious Duck. A separate Narrator will chronicle the tour. You will follow a prescribed route leaving from one of our three departure locations, beginning the day in Dorchester at our Garage. 

As an employee in a safety sensitive role, you will need to pass a pre-employment drug screening and be enrolled in the company’s random drug testing program.

Pay:

  • $33.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive our replica WWII vehicles
  • Complete a daily Circle Check for your vehicle, including using crawler
  • Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations
  • Maintain a clean driving record both in season and off season
  • Work in tandem with our Narrator and Captain partner to offer a safe experience on land and water
  • Wear a proper, clean uniform each day
  • Hours/Shift – 4-day work week, up to 12-hour days

Schedule: Full-time and part-time, seasonal positions from mid-March through November with year-round benefits. Full-time positions work four, 10-hour days. Weekend availability required.

Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED CDL Class A or B
  • Passenger Endorsement
  • Ability to work as a part of a team consisting of the Driver and Narrator
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable and verifiable driving record
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and tolerate a wide range of weather conditions. Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with general public, law enforcement and emergency personnel
  • Boating experience a plus, ability to obtain Captain’s license
  • Must be able to lift 45+ lbs.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen

As a Narrator/Tour Guide, you’ll represent Boston Duck Tours in presenting the history of Boston in an accurate and entraining manner aboard a replica WWII amphibious Duck.

Responsibilities:

  • Present accurate history of Boston, Cambridge and the Charles River
  • Create and maintain a character for the tour
  • Work in tandem with our Driver and Captain partner to offer a safe experience on land and water
  • Act as Deckhand on the Charles River
  • Act as a second set of eyes for Driver while on land

Qualifications:

  • Able to speak in front of large crowds.
  • Ability to learn and retain Boston history and historical sites.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and tolerate a wide range of weather conditions.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with general public, law enforcement and emergency personnel.
  • Wear a proper, clean uniform each day

Schedule:

  • This is a Seasonal Role, with an option to be invited season after season (March – November).
    • Full Time: 4 Days per week (one weekend day required) 12 Hour Shift.
    • Part Time: 2 Days per week (one weekend day may be required) 12 Hour Shift.

 Pay:

  • $16.00 per hour plus tips.
  • Paid Training Provided
  • Eligible for year-end performance bonus

As a BDT Guest Service Representative, you will work at our Prudential, Museum of Science, and/or New England Aquarium departure locations. You will be working both indoors and outdoors fulfilling a variety of support roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and courteously sell and collect Boston Duck Tour tickets
  • Sell BDT merchandise
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer
  • Notify Guests of availability of tickets
  • Provide customer service to all Guests
  • Set up and clean work areas
  • Restock merchandise and information displays
  • Safely board and disembark Guests from the Duck Boats
  • Clean the Duck Boats

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to maintain accuracy in cash handling
  • Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write and comfortably speak English

Pay:

  • $16.00 per hour
  • Eligible for year-end performance bonus plan

Schedule:

  • Seasonal positions (Mid-March through November).
    • Full Time: 4 Days per week, 10-hour shift
    • Part Time: 2 Days per week, 10-hour shift
    • Weekend availability required

As a Sales Representative, you report to the Group Sales Manager and the Director of Sales and Marketing. You may also be asked to perform various duties by the Senior Group Sales Representative. Your primary responsibility is to make group and individual tour bookings. This may include other attractions and restaurants from time to time.

Responsibilities:

  • Book tickets for groups and individuals, including partners
  • Collect payments and final counts from groups
  • Handle general inbound calls
  • Efficiently communicate policies and procedures regarding using vouchers and/or tickets
  • General office duties
  • Office is located at Copley Place in Boston

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to work independently

Pay:

  • $17.25 per hour
  • Eligible for year-end performance bonus plan
